Final Fling

Tomorrow is the last day of the Salmon season and I've not had one so far this year so today I decided to have a final fling with a few lures. With time being limited, I could only manage a couple of hours on the Mersey rather than taking time to drive up to the Ribble.

Some lovely autumn sunshine made the afternoon quite pleasant - but as I suspected before even starting to fish the day ended with a blank. I didnt even see any signs of fish whereas I've seen plenty of salmon on each time I've been on the Ribble this summer.
I always enjoy flinging a few lures about, and these below have been regulars in my box this year. Maybe I should chuck them all in the bin and start again as this season has been a spectacular dissapointment on the lure fishing front.
